Full-Time Employee Benefits

Up to 16 paid holidays per year

Health Insurance: Medical, prescription, dental,
and vision insurance for $22.50 bi-weekly per employee.  Spouse and dependents at no additional cost. 
Begins the ninth week of employment. 

 

Life insurance: $25,000 policy for employees, $3,000 for spouse, and $1,500 per dependent.  The policy is 100% funded by the employer.  Begins ninth week of employment 

 

Short-term disability policy 100% funded by employer 

 

FMLA is available after 1 full year of continuous employment.

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office is taking applications for the following positions: 

  • Full-time Corrections Officer (Jail).  Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. 
  • Full-time Facility Officer (Community Corrections) (Use the Communications/Corrections application).  Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. 

 

Applications are accepted until the position is filled 
Applications can be picked up at the Gibson County Sheriffs Office Monday – Friday,
 
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 

The Gibson County Sheriffs Office and Jail employ numerous civilian and sworn individuals to carry out its task of law enforcement and offender correction. These employees are a vital part of this governmental organization.
